Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions

What if I don’t have my own industry contacts?

You can start with DropTrack’s genre-based industry lists on Artist Pro or Label Pro. Choose relevant DJs, radio contacts, music bloggers, labels, or playlist curators when you build your campaign. Your own contacts are optional.

How do I send my music to those contacts?

Build an email campaign with your track, artwork, and a message about the release. Select the lists that fit your music, send yourself a test, then send or schedule the campaign. You can also submit a track for professional review; Pro submissions move ahead in the review queue.

Can I see who actually listened?

Yes. Campaign reports show which contacts opened the email, played or downloaded the track, left feedback, or replied. Use those signals to choose who deserves a personal follow-up.

What can I try for free?

Create a free account to upload and analyze music, prepare release materials, and try campaigns and submissions. Genre-based DropTrack industry lists and unlimited campaigns are part of Pro plans. Compare plans and limits.

Can a label manage multiple artists?

Yes. Label Pro adds team and artist sub-accounts plus reporting across your roster, so you can manage promotion for more than one artist from one account.

Will a campaign guarantee a reply or placement?

No. The people you contact decide whether to listen, reply, play, or feature your music. DropTrack helps you find relevant contacts, present the release professionally, and see where there is interest.
